Growing up, I was always interested in color and art and I definitely enjoyed the adventure of creating. Around age 10, I sold my first “art” piece in front of the local library; it was a very 70’s modern abstract piece, all orange and brown with repeating circles.

A stained glass class taken with my oldest daughter inadvertently led me to the discovery of fused glass. I fell in love with this incredible medium that yields the most amazing color and three dimensional texture with flexibility and a delicacy at the same time.

Kiwi Studios’ kiln was first fired in 2002. Creating three dimensional glass art, from mobiles and wall art to jewelry and functional vessels, I keep to my 60s and 70s vintage-modern funk fused style. Looking back, I realize I haven’t really strayed very far from my first experiments in color and design!
